The Batlhaping ba ga Maidi community is a proud Tswana tribe based in the Greater Taung area of the North West Province, South Africa. Under the leadership of the Kgotla ya ga Tshite in Picong, we preserve our rich cultural heritage while building a thriving future for our people.

Churches
Home to several historic congregations including the Native Independent Congregational Church (NICC) founded in 1885, the UCCSA built in 1886, the Zion Christian Church, and St John Apostolic Church.
Community Health
The Picong Clinic and community health facility serve the Ba Ga Maidi area, providing essential healthcare services to our community members and surrounding villages.
Kgotla Governance
The Kgotla ya ga Tshite is the traditional seat of governance for the Batlhaping ba ga Maidi. Our leadership guides the community in cultural preservation, development, and administration.
